The EMEA Supply Chain & Exhibition Summit event, now in its 19th year that was held in Barcelona between 19th and the 21st of June was a great success. The format of the summit over the course of three days was arranged by Clarion Events Ltd.
The summit programme provides a broad spectrum of vital topics with more recognition and expectation being directed at Supply Chain & Logistics.
Day 1 started off with refreshments and the opening speech followed by a Keynote Case Study by Ikea, a MacAndrews global account about the Supply Chain as a Unique Advantage to Enable Growth & Customer Success. Claudio Marconi, Head of Logistics Development – Ikea delivered this topic.
The day progressed on with 4 break out sessions, and iSolve networking and a port of Barcelona visit with a drinks reception.
Day 2 consisted of breakfast briefings followed by a Case Study: How to Achieve a Sustainable Supply Chain by François-Régis le Tourneau, Corporate Supply Chain Standards and Prospective Director – L’Oréal (another business currently cooperating with MacAndrews) and 4 other breakout sessions and an evening networking drinks reception.
Day 3 had a similar layout with some interesting round table discussions and case studies including The Hidden Finance Risk in Multi-Tier Supply Chains.

Over three days there were great opportunities to listen to some of the most inspiring thought leaders from across a wide spectrum of industries. The sessions challenged what we already know and gave the opportunity to get involved and ask the questions you’ve always want answered. Alongside traditional presentations there were also active case studies, in-depth discussions, live showcases and discussions. Getting involved in round-table conversations with people have made real differences in engaging and understanding what the industry wants and needs.
