Dry Cargo

Dry cargo containers are ideal for goods that don't need to be specifically temperature controlled and come in several forms suitable for a variety of applications. The standard container is the most common and comes in various sizes. Another dry cargo variant is the Open Top for goods that cannot be contained within the height of a standard container, such as heavy industry goods. Find the ideal container for your dry cargo.

Freight Containers

Freight containers come in a variety of shapes and sizes, making them flexible to your needs whether you want to transport a little or a lot. Standard freight containers are:

  • Fully enclosed
  • Weatherproof
  • Rigid (roof, sidewalls, and floor)
  • Have a door on at least one end
  • Suitable for boxed, cased, baled, or bagged items, or drums and cartons.
  • Come in 20-foot, 40-foot, or 45-foot versions, as well as Pallet Wide and High Cube.

Open Top Containers

For goods that fit within the footprint of a container but not the height, there is the Open Top container, which features most of the same features of a standard container but without the rigid roof. These containers:

  • Are ideal for tall goods such as truck tyres
  • Feature a flexible, movable, or removable cover
  • Have the option of transverse members to support with rigidity
  • Can only be handled and loaded with a crane or rolling bridge
  • Are available as tiltable, half-height versions for bulk mineral transportation

Open Side Containers

For particularly lengthy goods that need to be loaded into containers by machine, there is the Open Side container. These feature most of the same specifications of a standard container but with an opening along one of the long sides. These containers:

  • Are ideal for lengthy materials or pallets that need to be loaded by machines
